The Story Behind the Maker

Each Peranakan Bloom Tote is lovingly handmade by Sister Kim.

After being retrenched at the age of 60 , Sister Kim took a brave step forward and started her own alteration business earlier this year. Sewing has always been close to her heart. Growing up in a family with limited means, she learnt to sew from a young age and began working early to support herself and her family.

What began as a practical life skill gradually became a lifelong passion. Today, she channels her experience, creativity and care into every tote she creates.

Taking at least two hours to complete each piece, Sister Kim carefully cuts, assembles and finishes every bag by hand. The Peranakan Bloom Tote is more than an everyday accessory. It represents her resilience, craftsmanship and courage to begin again.
